I received my post-graduate OB/Gyn training at Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma, Washington. For 15 years, I took care of female soldiers and family members in multiple army posts within the US, including Ft. Lewis WA, Ft. Campbell KY and Ft. Wainwright AK.
I have been an OB/Gyn for over twenty years and have practiced in Montgomery County since 2004. I am devoted to giving the best possible care to my patients.
It has been wonderful to be part of this Division and I love how the doctors and staff work as a team – making this the BEST Ob/Gyn group in the area!
Raised as an Army Brat
I am a native Washingtonian, but I’ve spent many years moving about as my father served in our military. I feel extremely fortunate that my education, health, and personal experiences guide me in the care that I give to each patient. Being able to care for a woman from puberty through menopause is amazing and rewarding.
Every step is meaningful and connects me to my patients in such a wonderful way. I have focused my interests and training in advanced pelvic and minimally invasive surgery, but continue to practice all areas of OB/Gyn including high risk obstetrics, adolescent gynecology, infertility, abnormal pap smears, perimenopause and menopausal disorders.
My life outside the practice
I consider myself blessed when it comes to family ~ they are everything to me! Joe, my husband of almost thirty years, is my rock. He is a retired career army colonel now working full time as an Orthopedic Surgeon, and he is a full time dad to our three beautiful daughters.
Elizabeth is a sophomore at Columbia University studying biomedical engineering. Maddie, a high school senior, will be heading to Georgia Tech in the fall to study Aerospace Engineering. Katie, soon to be a high school senior, will be navigating her path to college…possibly pre-med like her parents?? In just over a year, we will be empty nesters.
When I am not working or with family, I am running. Physical fitness is so important to me! I also love to go snow skiing, waterskiing, and golfing. But sometimes I like to be a little lazy and watch movies and sports – go Nats and Redskins!
