Meet Stacey Hersh, CRNP

Stacey Hersh CRNP | Montgomery County Silver Spring Rockville Nurse Practitioner OBGYN

Professional Service

After being so impressed with the care I received during my own maternity, I went on to earn my Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP) degree and began caring for other pregnant women as a staff nurse on Labor and Delivery at Arlington Hospital. I also was a clinical instructor at George Mason University School of Nursing. From there, I transitioned to working in Women’s Health Services at DeWitt Army Community Hospital for the next thirteen years. It was there that I met Dr Tony Resta – another OB/Gyn provider at Capital Women’s Care. He eventually convinced me to join him at CWC and I’m so glad I did! I love our patients.

My Career as a Nurse Practitioner

It all started off a little differently than it is now… After college, I was a bilingual receptionist for CBC Radio Canada. During that time I was greatly influenced by my grandfather – a master ‘tinker’ of mechanics. He inspired me to try something new – and I did! I became the second female hired as a TV Service Technician for Sears, and I spent my days driving an aqua work truck around Northern Virginia to repair TV sets. One day, I was dispatched to a job and met Robert – my future husband. We married and had three children together. What a love story set for TV!

I take great pride in assisting women of all ages in attaining their optimal health. My patients appreciate my approach to a sensitive and gentle pelvic exam. My medical interests include adolescent health, family planning, prenatal care, vaginal health, premenstrual syndrome and menopause.

My husband and I have raised our family in Northern Virginia. I love taking advantage of a sunny day and you’ll most likely find me on the golf course or working out to Bill’s cardiomix class. After all that exercising, I like to nosh on steak fajitas, jump in the Jacuzzi, and take a nap. While we are waiting for grandchildren, we love to spoil our grand puppies – Oscar, Baila, Olive, Beowulf and Grendel!
