I can’t thank Dr. Lin enough for the care she provided for me during my pregnancy and for delivering my baby! She was comforting and knowledgeable and I knew I was in great hands all along the way. I can’t wait to go back to her for my next one:)
I had the best possible outcome after having my fibroid removal surgery with Dr. Lizardo and I decided to share my experience here for future patients who are looking for a compassionate and expert gynecologist. My story: I had a visit with my OBGYN and she detected a fibroid that was 10 CM. she recommended that I remove it ASAP. Based on the size of my fibroid, she predicted that the surgeon might decide to go with an incision and aggressive approach as a course of action vs laparoscopic surgery. She then recommended Dr. Lizardo as my best option that might be able to remove it laparoscopically. Since it was my first time doing serious surgery, I tried to do my research and see what were other patients experience. I found out, the ones who had to go with incisions had very terrifying experiences. Some of them could not get back to their normal activities for 4 weeks or more. I am very active and work 60 hours a week. So I was hoping that Dr. Lizardo is able to do the magic. I might add that those patients, had smaller size fibroid than me. But, to my surprise, Dr. Lizardo, promised to remove it laparoscopically which he successfully delivered on his promises. I highly recommend Dr. Lizardo, because firstly, during our first visit, he tried to explain the course of action as simple and detailed as possible (as an international person, I extremely appreciated that). He added that he strongly recommends that I walk right away after I wake up from the surgery which was amazing to hear. He was very upfront about the Risk and very confident that how the chances are small. I really felt I am in a good hand. Secondly, the day of the surgery, he came early and we had a chat again about the whole process and the do/don't after the surgery. My surgery took about 2 hours and when I woke up, I didn't feel great (to be expected) but I could walk to the car. The next day, I could start walking every couple of hours for approximately 15-20 min. And finally, I was able to go for a short (2 hours ) hike a week after my surgery. I talked to my friends who had similar surgery and they were extremely surprised by how fast I recovered. Now three weeks after the surgery and considering that I no longer use pain medication, I feel a pain relief that I carried for more than three years. Lastly, I might add that the staff, nurses, and the anthologist in the Maryland Surgery Center were simply wonderful and I felt very relaxed and comfortable the day of the surgery.
Dr. Shrout is as personable as she is knowledgeable. She is considerate of her clients’ circumstances, promoting clients’ optimal health within those circumstances.
Dr. Band is a wonderful doctor. I have been going to him for over 20 years. He is very easy to talk to and always gets back to you when you have questions.
