The executive director of the North American Menopause Society, JoAnn Pinkerton, MD discusses hormone therapy in her keynote address at their annual meeting. In her address, Dr. Pinkerton wants to help clear up any misconceptions about hormone replacement therapy and its use and notes that it “remains the most effective treatment for vasomotor symptoms and the genitourinary syndrome of menopause and has been shown to prevent bone loss and fracture”.
